Wet Gas Scrubbers Type TF
Of simple design, the basic scrubber does not contain any moving parts. Other key features include low water consumption and minimal maintenance. The Type TF has in addition the advantage of especially low installation costs, as the fan and motor require no external mounting of any kind. The Type TF is shipped as a unit and needs only to be connected to electrical, water and drain lines to be ready for work. Depending on fan size, the units may be shipped separately for mounting on site. For high concentrations of solids the Type B Conical Hopper is used. PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION Particulate laden inlet gases are directed through the inlet nozzle and accelerated via the mixture cone and jetted in a near vertical direction at high velocity into a static scrubbing liquor bath. The level of the liquor is maintained slightly below the bottom of the inlet nozzle by means of an adjustable weir. After leaving the bath, the gases pass through a baffle type spray eliminator before leaving the unit at the rear vertical discharge and entering the ID Fan.
