Features
-
Modular construction utilizing gas tight compartments.
-
Continuously wetted irrigated weir collecting tubes allow collection of sticky dusts or high resistivity
dusts.
-
Water may be recycled.
-
Very high collection efficiencies.
-
Exhaust air from ESP is not saturated.
-
Suitable for small to large gas flows.
-
All insulators mounted external to casing for ease of access.
Principle of Operation
The collecting tubes are arranged into a system of ponds whereby each tube is continuously flushed with water, the surface tension creating a complete ring and wall of water down the tube.
Particulate laden gases enter the base of the module and pass upwards through the steel tubes. The particulate is charged with negative ions from the influence of the HV discharge system and is attracted to the walls of the pipe. The particle is immediately carried away by the wall of water and carried out through the base of the module.
The HV system is periodically flushed by the spray system. Each module is isolated in turn for washing of the HV system.
