Company Profile The business owned by Fowlerex has been successfully trading since the mid 1960's in the Air Pollution Control Industry in Australia. Many large engineering projects have been undertaken in this field. Yet, with the philosophy of ‘no project is too small’, the business has also supplied much in the way of smaller size systems and equipment. The business was originally started in Australia by the Western Precipitation Division of the JOY Manufacturing Company of the USA. Since then, Fowlerex has been responsible for the supply of much equipment to the large capital investment projects going on in Australia. A high proportion of the equipment supplied is still in service, upgraded over time to meet new tighter emission requirements. In 1980, JOY instituted a system of worldwide licensees. Fowlerex was appointed the licensee for Australia. Fowlerex was a well-known name in concrete mixers and concrete batch plants. In 1990, Fowlerex was purchased by Rheem Australia, trading under Rheem Environmental Systems. In 1996, the owners of Rheem sold the business to Metal Craft (Aust) Pty Ltd, trading as MC Environmental Systems. On May 27th, 2002 the business was acquired by Fowlerex Technologies Pty. Ltd.
