Reverse
Air Fabric Filters
Modular
Model MTOF

-
The Model MTOF filter is a fully automatic dust filtering system suited for medium to large gas flows.
-
The Model MTOF filter is supplied in modular form, providing minimum erection costs.
The Filtering Process
Particulate laden air enters the baghouse hopper from the inlet manifold and is distributed through the bottom tube sheet openings over the inner surfaces of the filter bags. Heavier dust particles entrained in the air-stream settle out in the hopper by gravity die to the very low velocities. Finer dust is separated from the gas as the particulate is deposited inside the bag in the form of a filter cake.
The Cleaning Cycle
At prescribed intervals, outlet poppet valve isolate the module to be cleaned. Reverse air flow is pulled from the outlet manifold via the reverse air fan. The reverse fan forces air back through the opened reverse air valve and into the isolated module to collapse the bags. Ass the bags are collapsed, the udst filter ckae falls into the hopper. Once the cycle is complete, the module is placed back into active service by closing the reverse air popper valves and opening the outlet poppet valves. The cycle then moves to the next section to be cleaned and repeats the process.
Benefits
-
Off-line cleaning coupled with reverse airflow reduces stress on the fabric and extends effective life of the bags.
-
High efficiency, even with fine particulates.
-
Low pressure drop.
-
Ease of maintenance, access from clean air side of filter.
-
Uses heated process gases as the reverse air flow.
