Gate Dampers
For isolation purposes, Guillotine type, pneumatically operated dampers are normally fitted to modular duct sections.
Each isolation slide gate damper is locally operated with a lever actuator mounted on the outside casing of each damper. Cylinder mounted limit switches allow PLC indication of damper position. A pin allows mechanical locking of each damper in either the open or closed position.
A pneumatic cylinder drives the damper disc.
Note: Damper closure only is not sufficient for internal filter access below the tubesheet. For positive isolation, the slip plate must also be installed. At all times entry into these areas must conform to confined space entry regulations.
